Chapel Services

What change matters most in the life of a child?
From feeding students to educating them, we see spiritual development as paramount for transformation over time. Yes, the mind and body are cared for, yet the soul is what we nourish through discipleship. A pivotal way we accomplish this is through weekly chapel services.
Dolora Pyrame (R), sponsored by the Italian Women's Ministry in Quebec, Canada, led worship at the L’Acul school chapel.
Isaac Dautruche preached a message based upon Ephesians 6:1 encouraging children to obey their parents.
Stepping out of the classroom and walking to chapel service begins with an anticipation of singing and hearing a message from God’s Word. At New Missions, our students are fully involved in this experience each week across our school campuses in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
Across our school campuses, chapel services are hosted weekly and are led by our students. Special music is enjoyed during chapel services by student singing groups from our schools.
In Haiti, at our L’Acul church and school campus, three students played a special part in hosting the weekly school chapel service. Isaac Dautruche, at the young age of 11, preached a message based on Ephesians 6:1. “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.” Nachlandina Cesar shared a Bible reading from Ephesians 6:1-4. Dolora Pyrame led worship for the students starting with a song from the hymnal, Chants d’Esperance. Each of these three students have a sponsor who received this wonderful news of the chapel service in which their students participated. We are grateful for all child sponsors who continue to pray and support the children of New Missions. ~Tim DeTellis
