Meet Peterson Salomon
Coming from a home where his parents were uneducated, life was uncertain for this young boy.
You can be a part of changing the life of a child through our child sponsorship program. Through a Christian education, proper nutrition and vital healthcare, you’ll see your child flourish while attending a New Missions school. These children are given hope for their future—ending the cycle of poverty. Together, we can change the life of a child and help families flourish.
Coming from a home where his parents were uneducated, life was uncertain for this young boy.
The very year Peterson was born, New Missions opened a school in his village of Masson, Haiti. Education empowers our students to step out of poverty.
During his years at New Missions, Peterson saw God's love in action and attended our New Missions church in Masson, Haiti.
Peterson graduated from New Missions Professional Trade School and opened his own motorcycle mechanic shop in the village of Masson.
She began attending school at New Missions as a young girl.
With no opportunity for Nerylyne to attend school in her village of Corridor, she walked to the closest New Missions school in Concrab—30 minutes away.
Thanks to the gift of sponsorship, Nerylyne grew up with a free Christian education, food, and medical care provided by New Missions. Throughout her years as a student at our Masson school and high school, Nerylyne knew she wanted to give back to her community, and chose to become a nurse.
Now, I’m employed as a nurse in Haiti and serve the entire Leogane Plain region.
As a child at risk for survival, she was enrolled in our school at the age of three. Vital medical care and nourishment were of great importance in her early years.
Quickly, with the consistent care provided at our school, Marie Carminne began to grow healthy and strong. There was no school in her home village of Ambas-Peres at the time, so she walked to our closest school in Concrab.
While attending high school at New Missions, Marie Carminne's faith in the Lord grew, thanks to the weekly chapel services and daily Bible classes.
Today, Marie Carminne is a school teacher in her home village of Ambas-Peres, Haiti, where New Missions now has a school.
Decide to sponsor a boy or a girl. You can select a specific age or birthdate (if available).
Your gift of $38/month makes it possible for your sponsored child to enjoy the benefits of a Christian education and a local church to help them grow spiritually.
You can send letters to your sponsored child and our translators will make your letter available to your child so they can write you back.
Meet a child in Haiti or the Dominican Republic and give the gift of education.
