Looking closely at our mission, you will find a group of pastors scattered across 35 campuses in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

Pastor Guy Fontaine oversees our pastors in Haiti and has worked with us since 1984. When asked why the church is so important, he responded, “In Haiti the church plays a big role. For if there was no church praying, the situation would be worse than it is.”

This year, we will be building a new church in Chateau, Haiti, where Pastor Frantzson Paul and his wife Lourberta serve.

The local church is the greatest force of good, and pastors are leading and loving as shepherds caring for their flocks. Spiritually, pastors are entrusted to bring them provisions from God’s Word. “Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve.” 1 Peter 5:2

Our churches in Haiti have a theme this year: "So that Your ways may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations." Psalm 67:2

Pastoring takes proximity, and this is where and when New Missions sees our pastors making a difference. All of our pastors live locally in the communities where our churches and schools exist. We love pastors and are so thankful for them as they preach God’s Word and respond to the needs and concerns of those living in their communities. The ministry of New Missions is possible because of our pastors who care strongly for their congregations. ~Tim DeTellis
