“If only my sponsor could see me now…I’m giving out shoebox gifts to the kids in my classroom!”

That’s exactly what Nadege Leriche, a graduate from the class of 2006, was thinking. She reflects upon being sponsored as a child herself. Now, she is the gift giver!

Our school teachers, such as Nadege Leriche, become gift-givers as they pass out shoebox gifts in the classroom. Your shoebox gifts share your love and spread smiles and happiness to our school children.

We thank our teachers for making sure the shoebox gifts get delivered. Nadege Leriche teaches the preschool class at our New Missions Christian Academy in Signeau, Haiti. Teaching at the very school she attended is very rewarding. “I know I am making a difference.” Nadege expresses her students’ gratitude as she witnesses smiles and hears laughter as they open the shoebox gifts. She knows how much gifts from sponsors mean to the students, because she remembers receiving letters and gifts from her sponsors, Richard & Patricia Rosenberger.

Nadege started school at New Missions when she was five years old and graduated from our high school.

Nadege began school at New Missions when she was five years old. Her father took her to our New Missions church in Signeau where she accepted Jesus as a young girl. She was later baptized as a teenager. She continues to attend our Signeau church with her husband.

Thank you to Richard and Patricia Rosenberger for sponsoring Nadege, who became a school teacher at New Missions.

Your shoebox gifts and love shown through sponsorship are reminders of the devotion and dedication we have in changing the life of a child. ~Tim DeTellis
