It’s always incredible to see how God moves.
Back in August, we shared New Missions student, Wilnes Lapeine’s story. He broke his leg in a motorcycle accident and needed surgery.
God laid Wilnes on Julianne Downs’ heart. She listened and responded, calling our Orlando office asking how she could encourage and support him. She wanted to send him a card and let him know he was loved and prayed for. I shared with Julianne we would check Wilnes’ status and get back to her. In a matter of minutes, we learned Wilnes was unsponsored. God had orchestrated an amazing connection.

Wilnes is now recovering and is able to walk on his foot without crutches. When he found out he was sponsored, he was overjoyed. “Thank you to the person who is interested in me and wants to help me further my education. I give God all the glory!”

God’s plan and timing are always perfect. Julianne always wanted a son. Now she’s excited to send Wilnes a shoebox for Christmas praying it encourages him. Her message to Wilnes, “Hold on to your faith! Your bones will be even stronger after they heal.”
