On Sunday, June 16, 2024, Pastor Guillaume from our downtown Leogane church (previously an old rum distillery) hosted an ordination service.

Gregory Doirin, Guillaume Guydony and Genel Isaac, all graduates of New Missions, are now ordained into ministry. Gregory Doirin, who accepted Jesus in March of 2003 at this very church, was ordained into pastoral ministry 21 years later.

Gregory, with his wife Sonya by his side, has been ordained to serve in pastoral ministry.

Pastor Guillaume led an ordination service for these men who grew up attending New Missions.

Gregory married his wife Sonya in 2016. They met at the church in Leogane where they attended. I asked Gregory about his calling to become a minister of the Gospel. He told me it was in September 2017 at about 5:00 a.m. when he had a dream. “I heard the voice of God saying, ‘I call you to lead my people.’” He then told his friend about his dream and his friend said, “Keep praying.”

Together, we sing: “To God be the glory, great things He has done!”

Then, in January 2024, Gregory stated this about another dream: “I saw someone and they told me it’s time to devote yourself to pastoral ministry.” Gregory also shared with me that in February 2024, Pastor Guillaume approached him saying that he needed him to serve in the church and to be devoted to the ministry. Gregory answered the call of God and wants to serve Him anywhere He wants him to go. We rejoice in seeing God’s calling upon Gregory’s life. ~Tim DeTellis
