Bible Distribution
// Rachel DeTellis
Last year, we asked you to consider contributing towards the purchase of Bibles for our students.
Well, that distribution just happened! To our delight, 2,200 French Bibles were purchased and shipped into Haiti on a container. Students in grades 7-13, our pastors, and 270 elementary and middle school teachers all received one of these Bibles as a gift from those of you who contributed to this project. The additional 4,500 Creole New Testaments that were bought for our first through sixth graders are arriving any day now, and will be distributed very soon.
Three students who were interviewed expressed gratitude to both God and the mission for their Bibles. Shnaika Francois, a ninth grader at our Vieux-Court school just accepted Jesus as her Savior. She was praying and hoping for a Bible and God provided soon afterwards! Gustave Patricio, who is about to graduate said, “I’ve been needing a French Bible for a long time.” Gervens Lovince is in seventh grade at our Signeau school and says his mom and grandmother had Bibles but no one else in the family. He reads it every night before going to sleep. ~Rachel DeTellis
