A Transformed Family
// Heather Williams Katz
Over the years, I have been able to see the impact that New Missions has had on the lives of so many people.
I am especially encouraged by the number of teenagers who are following and serving God. Cousins Elanda and George Jean started at our Redemption Village school, later moving to New Life High School. When we started our church in Los Castillos, they both began attending regularly and became involved in the children’s and youth Bible classes.
As Elanda entered her older teenage years, she began to rebel against God and church. However, God never gave up on her and neither did we. Today, she assists at our Playa Chiquita preschool.
George experienced significant loss early on, with both parents passing away by 2019, leading to depression. He attended a youth camp where he was reminded that even though his mother and father were gone, God had chosen him before creation and he is God’s son. Since that time, he has been actively following Christ. He leads the praise and worship in Los Castillos. We praise God for all He has done in the lives of these two young people. ~Heather Williams Katz
