Recently, thanks to money generously donated, we were able to purchase Bibles for all of our elementary and high school students in the DR.
Our Leaders for Christ student group prepared a special program presenting our students with their own Bibles. At each of our schools, it was a very special time where the kids enjoyed singing songs, participating in group activities, and learning how to use and read the Bible. The children’s eyes lit up as each one of them received a beautiful new Bible.
After a special presentation for the students, the Leaders for Christ group distributed Bibles to every student.
Praise the Lord that we have seen a huge impact with the Bibles being distributed! I’ve heard reports of students asking their teachers to read the Bible at the beginning of each class and during their recess break...and of families who are starting to read the Bible together in their homes. After receiving his Bible, one of our students, Jhayden Mercado Santos, told his mom that he wanted to go to church. They went and he accepted Christ as His Savior! We praise the Lord for the work He is doing through His Word, and we look forward to seeing more fruit from the Bible distribution. ~Heather Williams Katz
