Youth on the Rise

Our vision at New Missions is to raise a generation of Christian leaders, and we work daily to attain that goal.
Having started a children’s Bible class in Los Castillos over five years ago, many of those students who started with us are now teenagers and have become well versed in their knowledge of Scripture. Recently, a group of them came to talk to me because they wanted to begin leading the children’s classes in Los Castillos. Of course I agreed, as this is a great opportunity for our youth to grow and become Christian leaders.
The teen leaders teach the Bible lessons and help the younger students with their crafts every Saturday morning.
Not only are the youth leading classes along with their adult teachers in Los Castillos every week, they are now helping at our children’s Bible class in Playa Laguna. Lately, we have had a lot more students attending this class. We currently have around 50 children attending every Saturday, and our two volunteer teachers appreciate the extra help. This has been an excellent opportunity for our youth to practice being servant leaders. We look forward to seeing how God is going to use them in these classes and in the future.
