“What’s in it for me?” WIIFM is the most popular radio station individuals tune in to daily, but it drives selfishness.

However, when we surrender our lives to Christ, we see the world through a new lens of helping and serving others. This causes us to live a generous life. When I think of generosity, I think of three different buckets: Time. Money. Influence. Each of these three areas gives us unique opportunities to change lives.

“Generosity changes lives” was a statement introduced to me by a pastor friend, Trevor Barton, from The Creek Church in London, Kentucky. The first time I met Trevor was during a mission trip to Haiti. Generosity changes lives is a core value at their church.

Shoebox Drive welcomes generosity on many levels from packing boxes to serving in Orlando.

I am thankful to witness what generosity looks like. My heart is encouraged during phone calls with donors, and while attending events where children find a sponsor. I am inspired by conversations with pastors about churches equipping their congregation to live life on mission.

Through New Missions, we see hundreds of people volunteer and serve during the year. Volunteers are the behind-the-scenes strength that make New Missions better. Your influence and introducing New Missions to others is also important. Thank you for being generous. Together, we are seeing lives changed.
