Baptism in Los Castillos

A few weeks ago, we had our very first baptism at Los Castillos, including eight teens from the church.
As I told the youth that day, we have watched them grow up physically and mature spiritually, and it was wonderful to watch them take this big step in their walk with Christ. The youth attended weekly discipleship classes with Pastor Osiris Pérez in preparation for their baptism.
The teenagers rejoiced as they shared their declaration of faith in God with everyone by being baptized.
When we started this church about five years ago, we often went door to door inviting people to the services. Some would come for a while, but most did not continue coming. However, the children and youth who came kept coming became more involved in the services and activities. God was faithful and in His perfect timing, He provided a pastor for the church. Now, many adults regularly attend the church as well, but the children and teens remain an integral part of the services and leadership. We are working to raise up the next generation of Christian leaders. Please pray for our church in Los Castillos and especially for these eight youth who were baptized—that God would use their testimony to bring others to Him. ~Heather Williams Katz
