Because finishing well is so important, our high school closes each school year with a service of worship and thanksgiving. This year, we had 500 students gather for the program.

The theme “Stand and Shine for Jesus” was preached by a former student, Nicky Jean. The whole day was planned by the high school prayer group as well as Pastor Sheguer Marc. The day was bathed in prayer and Sheguer said they felt the help and presence of the Holy Spirit.

During the service 13 students made decisions to become followers of Jesus. Anne Marie Lorens Logis moved to the Leogane area as a teenager. She began attending our Signeau church with her grandmother but had never accepted Christ as her Savior. Anne says she sensed the touch of God on her and knew it was the day to choose Christ.

Wadnerson Pierre also felt convicted about his walk with the Lord. He grew up in church and a few years ago had prayed to receive Christ. However, over time, he stopped attending church and backslid in his faith. He repented and turned back to God. Anne, Wadnerson, and the others who made decisions to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior finished their school year well…and will ultimately finish life well as they persevere in their faith. ~Rachel DeTellis
