Baptism in Concrab
// Charlie DeTellis
It is wonderful seeing new Christians being faithful to our Lord and Savior by following through with believer’s baptism.
We had a beautiful water baptism festival with all of our churches in the month of April at our church in Concrab. The joy of the Haitians is contagious. The pastors baptizing the new believers love this part of their ministry. Baptism represents death to ourselves and a new life in Christ. God is alive and still working to bring believers to Himself throughout the world.
God can make something beautiful out of nothing. In the past, we would describe the village of Concrab as a place where there was nothing. It was only a small village of huts for the farmers and fishermen. Our church and school in this community shine forth the goodness of God’s truth and love.
Our Haitian ministry staff are missionaries to their own people. We encourage them to do good deeds and in return they encourage us to do good deeds. Together, we are building the kingdom of God! We never think much of what all has already been accomplished, but our dream started with helping one village. We now have 31 school campuses in Haiti. Our hope remains; we want to help more villages. We don’t look at the natural problems, but believe that with God all things are possible. ~Charlie DeTellis
