A Class to Remember
// Heather Williams Katz
Although classes started and will finish virtually this year, the class of 2021 wanted to experience as many of the traditions as possible.
During the first week of class, they contacted the school director, Keyla Mercado, to ask about having a lanzamiento celebration. During this special event that the students plan, they present a class logo and theme that they create to represent their class.
One of the things that is special about this class is that it includes some of our first students participating in our Leaders for Christ program. Out of the 25 graduates, five are part of this leadership group. These students have been taking special Bible classes, leading chapel services, and going on summer mission trips within the Dominican Republic. When asked about what they had learned in the leadership class and how they would use their knowledge and experiences from the class after they graduated, several of them reported that they had grown in their relationship with Christ and had learned the importance of serving others. We congratulate the class of 2021 and pray that they will all seek God’s will for their lives as they take their next big steps! ~Heather Williams Katz
