In January, the leadership in the DR decided to start a youth Bible class for the teenagers from our churches and communities.
We started the classes to give our youth an opportunity to connect with other Christian youth and to teach Biblical principles that will help them grow in their faith. Each class begins with songs, dramas, and games for everyone. Later, the boys and girls are divided so that they feel more comfortable sharing with their teachers and each other. We have been so excited to see how much they are enjoying the classes! Teen girls and boys who are normally very shy are opening up and sharing their thoughts with others.
Luis Morales, our high school math teacher, has a heart to work with youth and is teaching the teen boys.
The very best news from these classes is that since they started, eight teens have accepted Christ as their Savior! We rejoice in the work the Lord is doing in these youth! Please join us in praying that God will give the teachers wisdom to know how to teach and guide the teens. Also, please pray that God will continue to bring more young people to accept Him and grow in their faith. ~Heather Williams Katz
