Andre Luxon Michel started attending New Missions schools when he was four years old.

As he reflects back, he thanks God and his sponsors, the Jernigan family, from Texas, for helping him get to this point. They have sponsored him since he was six years old! He accepted Christ at a young age and later got baptized. He is a musician in the Santo church, and sometimes he gets to preach. Life was not always easy for him. He remembers the exhaustion of the long walk to school, because his family could not afford to send him on a tap tap. A tap tap is a brightly colored mode of local transportation in Haiti. Now, his dream is to become a lawyer and to speak several languages.
