Prayer is essential for our spiritual life—it is vital.

New Missions is celebrating our 37th year of mission work and the pioneering efforts have been possible because of prayer.

Cooking lunch each day in Haiti is a miraculous process for our school cooks, and we thank you for praying for them.

I’ll never forget the day I stood in a chapel service at our school in Neply and asked the children to pray for the cargo container stuck in Port-au-Prince, the capital city, to be released from customs. When I asked for a volunteer to pray, a young girl jumped up and ran to the front of the church and without any hesitation she called upon all of her fellow students to drop to the ground and kneel to pray.

On January 6, 2020, we begin our 21 Days of Prayer. This day is our 37th anniversary and I invite you to join us in prayer for the calling God has placed upon our lives—to share His Good News and love our neighbors everywhere. Week one is focused on our work in Haiti, while week two is concentrated on our ministry in the Dominican Republic.

Our schools and churches in the Dominican Republic welcome your prayers as we serve families across the North Coast.

The third week turns our attention to the activities in Orlando, where our home office is located. You can sign up at www.newmissions.org/prayer. Thank you for praying with us. ~Tim DeTellis
