Shoeboxes Delivered
// Molly Knost
The 2017 Christmas Shoebox Drive was a great success!
A special “thank you” to each individual, school, and church that helped make it possible to give every student in our schools a gift. All shoeboxes, whether packed by a family, or at a packing party hosted by a church, school, or business are important. Shoeboxes begin to arrive at our offices in October, and volunteers faithfully serve to help us process the boxes. The shoeboxes are packed into large cases, and then shipped to Haiti on cargo containers.
Our students wait with anticipation for the arrival of the containers full of gifts. The fun begins when the boxes are distributed and the Gospel message is shared. Some children wait to open their shoebox at home—so they can open their gifts with their family, while others open them immediately. Your generosity makes it possible for children in Haiti to receive a tangible gift that shows the love of Christ. Lives are being changed because of your kindness. Please save the date for our next Christmas Shoebox Drive: Oct. 1 through Dec. 31, 2018. ~Molly Edwards
