This past summer, in the Dominican Republic, our visiting mission teams evangelized door to door in Los Castillos—sharing the Gospel and inviting the community to attend evangelistic events on the land where our church is being built.

The question they heard over and over was, “Will the church build a school?”

Revival and evangelistic services this summer served the community of Los Castillos with the good news of the Gospel.

When we preach Christ, we are happily fulfilling the heartbeat of Jesus. When we open a Christian school on our church campus, we have the privilege and opportunity to plant the words of Jesus into the hearts of the children, beginning at an early age. Education is a strong branch of our mission, because it is a Christian education with Christian teachers, and the Bible is an important subject in their curriculum.

The children in Los Castillos are watching other children putting on their uniforms and going to school. But, they are smiling because they trust that in the year of 2017, they too will be putting on their uniforms and going to a beautiful school built by God’s people for the community of Los Castillos. To God be the honor and glory for His work is always on time.~Jeanne DeTellis
