Above: Because of child sponsorship, Esmeralda is escaping a life of poverty and despair.

In the comfort and security of your own neighborhood, church and home, you speak out for children waiting for the important touch of a human being saying, “I care. I know. I want to help you. I will pray for you and believe God for your today and your future.” It all happens through child sponsorship.

Meet Esmeralda. She is from one of our poorest villages, and is sponsored by Ruth Ann Williams. Ruth’s daughter, Heather, is a missionary in the area, and took her mother’s sponsored child (Esmeralda) on a Christmas shopping spree. Although in great need herself, Esmeralda instead bought gifts for her family, including food. She did not have to think about herself, because of the security and love she has from her sponsored family. That is some extravagant, impacting love. The eyes of God are closely watching over Esmeralda. God has a plan to use your eyes, too—to watch over a child.
