Signeau Conference
// Rachel DeTellis
For 12 years, our Signeau church has held an annual conference.
The conference is for the development of their church family. This year, they had 14 evenings of meetings concluding with two services on a Sunday.
Pastor Mario Bijou likes to bring in a local personality his congregation can see face-to-face. This year, a Haitian Christian comedian, Adonice Joseph, known from radio and tv was interviewed. There was also teaching, worship, and special music.
A 45-member choral group from the church assisted with worship. Members Nadege and Denise both felt edified and transformed by the conference. Nadege feels that singing for God makes her joyful and helps her connect with Him better. Denise stated that singing is a way of communicating truth and that she tries to apply what she is singing in her own life.
Pastor Mario said the Holy Spirit was present—motivating people to worship. There was an anticipation of hearing from God, and this is what spurs people on to contribute time, talents, money, and knowledge to make an event successful. ~Rachel DeTellis
