Providence Christian Academy brought their students to help process shoeboxes several times during our 2020 Christmas Shoebox Drive.

They are a new school in Starke, Florida, and are striving to teach their students life skills along with academics. Once a week they do service projects so their students can have hands-on experience serving others. One of the ways they chose to serve was through our Christmas Shoebox Drive. They not only gave their time volunteering to help process shoeboxes, they also collected over 700 filler items to donate for shoeboxes.

For various reasons, several volunteer groups who had planned to come and serve at New Missions were unable to participate. While I was trying to figure out how we were going to get enough help to be able to finish processing all of the shoeboxes, Providence Christian Academy came to mind. When I reached out to see if they were available, they did not hesitate and were thrilled to plan another trip to come to Orlando and serve.

During their second trip to our office in Orlando they prepared over 900 shoeboxes to be shipped to Haiti! We are so grateful for them and for the other volunteer groups who willingly gave their time to help us process all of the shoeboxes that were donated. ~Molly Knost
