It’s that time of year again! Christmas is right around the corner.

Over the summer, our staff worked hard to prepare for volunteers to come to our office to pack our prepacked shoeboxes. Packages of the supplies arrived almost daily. Once they were unpacked, we began assembling the shoeboxes. This brought such a great sense of excitement and anticipation! Prepacking shoeboxes is a project we look forward to each year. It’s important—because for many of these children it’s the only gift they will receive at Christmas.

This year, we have added some exciting items to our boxes. Our 3-6 year olds will receive a children’s book called The Garden, the Curtain and the Cross (in Spanish). It is a wonderful story about God’s plan of salvation. For our 7-11 year-old students, we are including a Spanish children’s Bible. And each of our older students will receive a Spanish Bible. Each age and gender has unique items selected that will put a smile on the student’s faces. Such items include: stuffed animals, soccer balls, Legos, flip flops, and much more.

Our prepacked shoeboxes are filled with toys, schools supplies, and hygiene items. We pray it blesses and encourages the children.
