The White family loves to run! Dallas White, lead pastor at The Grove Church in Acworth, Georgia, has enjoyed running several half marathons and obstacle races.

His wife, Amanda, recently completed the Albany Marathon in 3:27. Hopefully, this will qualify her for the Boston Marathon next year.

With COVID-19 cancelling races, the White family became excited to take part in a “virtual” running race that would also benefit a good cause. Dallas shared, “We love Tim DeTellis and New Missions and saw this as an easy way to meet a need. I did find myself, several times throughout the run, thinking about the kids in Haiti and New Missions work to help them and their families in these difficult times.”

You can still sign up for the Virtual Mango Run at newmissions.org/run. You can run, walk, or cycle at your own pace and distance. Once you finish you’ll receive a beautiful medal. After your race, don’t forget to take a picture and post it on social media to show your friends! Tag @newmissions and use the hashtag #virtualmangorun—so we can cheer you on.

Virtual Mango Run participants are signing up from all over! Congratulations Krystal Nowak from Orlando, Florida.

The White family encourages everyone to do this. Dallas shares, “Why not do this? Most Americans have been stuck inside for weeks. Why not get out and enjoy fresh air, while playing a part in helping New Missions!” ~Christine Batchelder
