As a parent, one of your greatest desires is to be able to meet all of the needs your children have. I am blessed to be celebrating my first Mother’s Day as a mom this year.

In anticipation of the arrival of our new baby, we received gifts and purchased supplies so that we had everything she would need when she arrived. In Haiti, many parents do not have the luxury of being able to prepare for their children’s needs. They live in a culture where they truly do have to ask the Lord for their daily bread. Resources that are required for basic necessities such as clothing and shoes are not readily available. New sneakers are rare and a huge blessing to children in our schools. Long walks to school make sneakers necessary—not just for comfort but also to protect their feet.

We had enough sneakers to bless all of our school cooks, and they were thrilled with this surprise blessing.

The gift of sneakers arrived to our school in Lafferonay and even blessed our children under five.

Your generosity made it possible for some of our students to receive brand new shoes. This blesses both the student who received the gift and the parents who desire that their children have everything they need. Thank you so much for generously giving of your resources to bless children in Haiti with the gift of new shoes. Your gift is a tangible expression of the love of Jesus. ~Molly Knost
