We will have enough shoebox gifts to bless the lives of all of our students in Haiti—with the final total collection of 13,500. We are so thankful.
Fortina Dardinia Pierre came to watch the cargo container being unloaded and was so excited to see all of the gifts.
We cannot take it for granted when a plan works out. From time to time, we see up close a miracle of God orchestrating how our mission runs. When we ship shoebox gifts to Haiti, the process is well documented and each shoebox is inspected and carefully packed for delivery overseas.
During the shipment of our first cargo container to Haiti for our Shoebox Drive, we ran into some concerns with the container arriving safely to our mission due to unrest in Haiti. Plus, there was news coming from Haiti saying the customs office was closed for an unknown length of time.
During our Shoebox Drive we will have shipped a total of three cargo containers to Haiti filled with shoebox gifts. Each school receives their cases of shoebox gifts for each student to enjoy a special gift for their entire family.
Thank you for blessing the lives of each of our students and their families with your love.
We prayed and knew the timing was critical as we had another cargo container ready to be shipped, and did not want to have two stuck in customs. To the glory of God, our shipment was released in less than 30 days from customs and before Christmas. We were able to ship our second cargo container one week before Christmas. This was a miracle in the midst of a country that was slowly returning to functionality. Thank you for your generosity because—generosity changes lives. ~Tim DeTellis
