The road was so steep that we hired motorcycles to carry cases of shoeboxes higher than we could hike with such a heavy load.

I was in Haiti with a visiting mission team in the mountains of Tom Gateau surrounded by children. Inside our church we began to give away shoebox gifts. I knelt down next to a boy and asked him in Haitian Creole if I could help him open his shoebox gift. His reply surprised me. “No. My grandmother told me to bring the shoebox home unopened.” When I asked why, his reply was, “We want to open it together because there are so many good and beautiful things inside.”

Parents are thankful for these shoebox gifts that bless their family.

We are going further than ever before this year with our shoebox drive. We will be delivering gifts to the island of LaGonâve—where our 30th church in Haiti is located. Please join us in delivering love and essential items to families in even more remote parts of Haiti. Most importantly, the Gospel message will be shared.

Plan now to host a shoebox drive and help us send shoeboxes all across Haiti.
