Alone is not always a nice word. Alone I can feel weak or I may fall. Coming to Jesus gives me strength to stand strong.

To do a mission, we are better together. Jesus first sent out His disciples together to assure their success to accomplish the mission. Our mission to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our Haitian family is a big challenge. The Gospel is not only the preaching of the Word for reconciliation with Jesus Christ and the security of eternity, but the Gospel is sensitive to minister to, with provision, the present physical needs of the people.

This week I felt “Better Together” in the lives of students at North Shore Christian School in Beverly, Massachusetts. They were compassionate and excited to save their allowance and challenge their community to pack Christmas shoeboxes for Haiti. These children inspired me to new spiritual strength.

Thank you for your generosity in giving, because each child matters to God.

When you enclose a photograph, the child will see who packed their gift and remember you in their prayers.

You are a blessing from God to come together with us through your prayers, encouragement, finances, and times of volunteering. Eccl. 4:9-12 speaks of two walking together to avoid one from falling, and goes on to say a cord of three strands is not easily broken. Together is a nice word. No, never alone. He promised never to leave us. We are better together. ~Jeanne DeTellis
