Read Our Prayer Requests

Together, may we set our heart’s affection and mind’s attention on God’s purpose and plan for our mission.

HAITI PRAYER REQUESTS

Day 1:
Nation
Pray for divine solutions and transformation to end the evil transpiring in Haiti—pray for wise leadership and that God would raise up leadership from within the Christian community. Pray that, when Christians are raised up, they resist the temptations of power and overcome evil with good.

Day 2:
Churches
Pray the believers find new energy, passion, and vision to serve God and to be overcomers in their lives and communities. Pray for a fresh, real, life-giving relationship with God that fills them with joy, peace, and hope and emanates into the neighborhoods. Pray for many people to be saved and that the pastors and leaders would support and encourage one another and continually work to augment their knowledge and insight into God’s Word.

Day 3:
Safety
Pray for the safety of our pastors, church members, and students as they travel on the roads. Going to the high school or to get produce at the market can be very dangerous with high numbers of accidents. Also pray for safety from gang activity that has spread to many areas. Pray for the safe delivery of food, construction supplies, and containers to the mission.

Day 4:
Teachers
Teachers spend a huge chunk of time with their students. Pray for the teachers to be encouraged in their role. Pray they will take the chance to change the lives of their students by loving them, helping them develop good character, and helping them grow academically as well. Pray for the teachers to be strong spiritually and God’s help and provision for their families.

Day 5:
Students
Pray for our students to know the Lord! Pray the Holy Spirit would truly change their lives. Pray against spiritual attacks from the enemy who would like to thwart anything good transpiring in the schools and hearts of the students. Pray God would help them to grow strong in every good way, that their hope would always be in God, and that God would show up in their lives in amazing ways.

Day 6:
High School
Pray for the high school director and leadership as they have challenges different from the local elementary schools. Pray for intense integrity to be theirs. Pray  God would begin putting His vision in the students of how they can serve Him. Pray the chapel services—often student led—would be impactful. Pray for the student prayer group –Warriors of Peace—that God would help them to be faithful in prayer and give them new and creative ideas to reach fellow students.

Day 7:
Bible College
Pray for the new director of the Bible College, and for the teachers and students. Pray for a stirring in more to choose to attend so they can be better equipped to serve God. Pray for God to thrust the students into their places in the harvest field and for God’s provision to fulfill His call.

As we turn our attention to our mission in the Dominican Republic. Your prayers matter and we thank you for your faithfulness. Together, we are calling out to God for His provision.

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC PRAYER REQUESTS

Day 8:
Schools
We are grateful to the Lord for the salvation of over 30 students this past year! Please pray for these students as they deepen their relationship with God and as we guide them. Also, pray that God provides for the physical, financial, and spiritual needs of our teachers, enabling them to reach even more students for Christ.

Day 9:
Churches
We thank the Lord for the individuals who accepted Christ through our churches over the past year. We also celebrate our first-ever church-wide retreat, which was a tremendous blessing for many. Please continue to pray for spiritual growth in our congregations and for the unity of our church leaders.

Day 10:
Spiritual Growth of the Next Generation
Our youth groups in the DR are growing and are truly passionate about Christ! We are grateful for the teens who have recently come to faith. We ask for your prayers as we launch a new youth discipleship class at our high school. Please pray for our youth and children’s leaders, that they may have the strength and endurance to help the next generation deepen their walk with Christ.

Day 11:
Clinic
We are grateful to the Lord for the opportunity to offer free medical care to the people of Sosua and nearby communities. Many patients travel long distances to our health center because of the care and compassion they receive. Please pray that God continues to use us to reach those who are suffering and in need of medical, emotional, and spiritual healing.

Day 12:
Government
Please pray for the leaders who were elected and re-elected last year. Pray that they come to know Christ and prioritize the needs of their constituents over their own desires. Also, pray that corruption is exposed and put to an end.

Day 13:
Healing for Hispaniola
Tensions between Haiti and the Dominican Republic are running high as the government has increased deportations of Haitians. Please pray for healing in the relationship between these two nations, that God will soften the hearts of Dominicans and open their eyes to the racism present in the country. Pray that the governments of both countries will collaborate to improve the standard of living for both Haitians and Dominicans.

Day 14:
Mission Teams
We have several teams scheduled to visit this year, and we ask for your prayers for their safety during their travels. Pray that God uses their time with us to impact lives and draw more souls to Christ. May their efforts inspire hope and transformation in the communities they serve, and may they experience His presence in powerful ways throughout their time in the DR.

We want to express our gratitude for your prayers and support. Most importantly, this is a spiritual work we are called to. We pray God uses us to make a difference for eternity's sake.

US PRAYER REQUESTS

Day 15:
Home Office Team of New Missions
Daily, our home office team is ready to serve our donors and sponsors. Plus, we are dedicated to the vision of helping families flourish across Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Pray for our health, provision, and focus to encourage all whom God entrusts to us.

Day 16:
Churches Everywhere
Pray for local churches and their leadership serving communities and families. We pray for the faithfulness of church members and provision for the Gospel to be proclaimed. When local churches are healthy, communities and families flourish.

Day 17:
Federal, State, and Local Leadership
We need peace in America and peace comes from knowing Jesus. Please pray for all areas of government in the United States, “...that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” - 1 Timothy 2:2

Day 18:
Donors and Sponsors
Please pray for the provision of financial support received from our donors and sponsors as they give generously to fund our mission. We believe generosity changes lives and pray for their homes and hearts to experience God’s blessings.

Day 19:
Volunteers and Advocates
Our mission is too big to accomplish alone. We rely on volunteers at our home office and advocates who represent us in their local churches. Please pray for the nearly 500 volunteers who help make this mission possible. “There is more happiness in giving than in receiving.” - Acts 20:35b

Day 20:
Campaigns and Events
Pray for the effectiveness of our campaigns and events. Laugh All Night comedy events, Shoebox Drive campaign, speaking engagements, and missions conferences are all a part of our work here in the States.

Day 21:
God’s Favor and Wisdom
Together, we first seek the Lord in all we do. We believe prayer matters and we rely on God’s wisdom daily. “May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands.” - Psalm 90:17

To God be the glory!
