Growing in Christ

The teenage years can be challenging as they go through so many changes.
We thank the Lord for our student leadership group and our church youth groups that have been so instrumental in helping teens grow in their relationship with Christ and stay on the right path. As we work to raise a generation of Christian leaders, we know that working with our teenagers is of utmost importance. Our groups meet weekly for Bible study and discussions about how Christianity relates to current world issues.
The youth led worship in Spanish and Creole at a church service they attended while on a mission trip.
In addition to weekly meetings, we look for opportunities for our youth to serve in their communities and beyond. This past summer our youth took two mission trips where they had opportunities to lead VBS for kids in those communities. They also were able to participate in local church services and help with a project to benefit families throughout the area. At home, one of our youth groups leads two children’s Bible classes every Saturday. This is a big commitment for them, but one they take very seriously. Please pray for our youth leaders as they continue to mentor and lead our youth to become strong Christian leaders. ~Heather Williams Katz
