Central Life Church in Brevard County, Florida has been a long time partner with New Missions.  When Pastor Ryan Alonso heard about the Virtual Mango Run, he knew it was a perfect fit for his church.  “Global missions is always worth it!  We certainly enjoyed the exercise aspect and the creativity of doing something that connected us to a great cause.  The best thing for me is that people walked away knowing that inactivity produces nothing, but as soon as faith and service shape into action, lives can change for the better.”  Central Life Church put forth the call for the entire church to join.  They chose a certain “race” date, Sunday, May 31, for everyone to get out and run.  The turnout was incredible and a huge success!  People ran and walked and had so much fun!  Couples pushed children in strollers and several others rode their bikes.

Now, Pastor Ryan wants to encourage other churches to invite their members to participate in the Mango Run.  He shares, “Movement and exercise are good for you.  This event can be done easily with small or big groups and can include the whole family.  When fun things have the potential to make a difference in the lives of others, we find fulfillment.”  Don’t forget, you can help make a difference in the lives of children in Haiti and the Dominican Republic as well.  There is still time for you or your church to sign up for the Virtual Mango Run.  If you’d like more information on the Virtual Mango Run, head to www.newmissions.org/run.
