WEEK 1
January 6-12, 2020
HAITI EMPHASIS

New Missions is celebrating our 37th year of mission work and the pioneering efforts have been possible because of prayer. Together, during our 21 Days of Prayer may we set our heart’s affection and mind’s attention on God’s purpose and plan for our mission. During week one, we will begin by praying for the areas of ministry in Haiti.

Day 1  Pray for peace and security in the country of Haiti. Pray for Haiti's leaders to govern justly, honestly, unselfishly and with a forward vision. Pray that those causing insecurity and violence would come to naught. Pray that the general populace will be able to safely go about their daily business.

Day 2 May there be spiritual breakthrough in villages and homes where Voodoo is still prominent. Praying for revival in our churches — especially with second-generation Christians. May the truth and light of Jesus shine brightly.

Day 3 Spiritual life of our high school. They have a core group that meets for prayer and we would love to see even more spiritual impact beyond our chapel services. Pray for wisdom and ability for the high school director and his staff to inspire and serve well.

Day 4 Open doors of opportunity for graduates in the work place. May they be beacons of hope and role models of change.

Day 5 Ongoing development of new talent and leadership as the mission grows and approaches four decades of service. Pray that our graduates would not only have a vision to serve in church but also to serve and lead in their communities with insight and compassion. We want to continue to empower and raise up a generation of Christian leaders.

Day 6 Vision for each teacher, pastor and school director and the ministry they are each serving in Haiti. May they each embrace the full purpose of their roles beyond just the benefit of a job but the significance of a calling.

Day 7 For teams visiting New Missions in Haiti during 2020 and the projects they will contribute to while serving at our school and church campuses.
