On October 13, 1985, the New Missions church in Masson, Haiti, was established.

Now, 34 years later, upgrades are being made to this church and school campus. We are building a new school to help accommodate middle school classrooms. A new kitchen, dining hall, and the expansion of the existing church facility will increase our capacity to serve the 517 students who attend school on this campus—from preschool through the eighth grade.

All of our construction is done by locals—providing jobs to support families in the areas we serve.

Expanding and improving the Masson campus is made possible due to a family who wanted to make a difference that would surpass their lifetime. My phone rang and the conversation began with a question: “What expansion needs do you have at New Missions?” Growth is an interesting word. Some want bigger and I aim for better. As we are better, we will see growth. I began to share with my friend on the other end of the call about our desire to expand our reach by building more churches and schools.

Thankfully, this family’s desire to give a legacy gift made it possible to build two churches, two schools, a dining hall, kitchen, and other campus improvements.
