They Finally Met

With her passport in her right hand, and a photo of Sandy, the girl her family sponsors from Haiti in her left hand, five-year-old Lilah smiled from ear to ear.
The moment she had been dreaming about was finally here. She was going to Haiti with her mom and dad to meet her Haitian sister, Sandy.
Pastor Greg and Sarah Pulling from Journey Christian Fellowship in Quinton, Virginia took their daughter Lilah to Haiti to meet Sandy.
Lilah’s mom said, “Every day she thinks about and prays for her ‘Haiti sister, Sandy’ to know Jesus—constantly thinking of her even when we go shopping. Lilah is looking forward to the day when she gets to play with her. We want Lilah to know that even at five years of age she, too, can change the life of a child through sponsorship. To Lilah…that’s her sister.”
Instantly, the first meeting of Lilah and Sandy was filled with smiles, hugs, and love. No differences could separate them. They were like sisters finally together. After they met, Lilah said, “I just knew we were going to best friends forever.” She also said her heart just felt so happy!
Love speaks every language, and Sandy and Lilah finally met. The gift of an education helps girls like Sandy step out of poverty. When you sponsor a child, your life is changed forever, too.
