In 1983, two nurses with a suitcase of medicine under a coconut tree was our first health clinic in Haiti. Today, Marie Chantal Philipe, a graduate from our class of 1996, now serves as the director of our medical clinic and oversees a team of 32 nurses in Haiti. One area of education at our clinic is to train enough midwives so that each village (where we have churches) can provide safe and healthy deliveries. Preaching the love of Christ and using medical skills has brought quality healthcare to the communities we serve.
