When I moved to the Dominican Republic in 2014, I was burdened seeing so many of our high school students coming from non-Christian and broken homes.
In 2017, we started a Christian student leadership group called Leaders for Christ to work intensively with Christian students who applied and wanted to be part of the group.
Clivens Codio shared a powerful devotional about obstacles in our lives that keep us away from Christ.
The Leaders for Christ group led our last chapel service of the 2023-2024 school year. For the first time, they had complete responsibility over everything they planned for the service. They did an excellent job! Afterwards, Clivens Codio (a senior), shared the devotional and many students came forward to receive Christ. Our leadership students prayed with them and led them to Christ. We praise the Lord as 25 students and three adults found new life in Christ during that unforgettable chapel service!
Throughout the summer, we have hosted multiple youth events to get these new Christians involved in our youth groups. Please pray for the continued spiritual growth of the students who accepted Christ and that more will come to Him. ~Heather Williams Katz
