Our teachers and staff are constantly giving of themselves to teach and minister to children, parents, patients, and people in need.

As you can imagine, this can be physically and mentally draining at times. We are always looking for ways to refresh, encourage, and build up our staff so they may better serve others. We plan several fun and renewing activities for our entire staff during the year to recognize and thank them for their hard work. Additionally, because continuing education is not readily available in the DR, we are always looking for ways we can help our staff better themselves academically and professionally.

Dr. Arismendy Katz organized a special seminar to teach employees about conflict and the best ways to manage certain situations.

In the past few months, in addition to normal back to school training, we have had two special seminars for our staff. The first one for our teachers was about classroom management and was taught by an experienced teacher from Venezuela. The second seminar was about conflict management—how to correctly handle conflict with students, parents, and coworkers. These seminars addressed two very important issues, and we hope to be able to offer more during the school year in order to edify our staff who work so hard serving others. ~Heather Williams Katz
