Despite the ongoing danger in Haiti, several of our churches sent out a total of 186 individuals on local mission trips this summer.

These trips were totally Haitian led. Our Bire church had contributions from former members who now live abroad—enabling some to participate in these trips who never would have been able to afford to take part. We are thankful for the health and maturity in our churches that propel them to fulfill the Great Commission; to go and preach the Gospel of Christ.

The Bire church prepared for their mission trip with prayer and planning. Glory be to God! Souls were saved!

The Mathieu church ministered in an area without a church and helped construct a shelter as a meeting place. Along with preaching and VBS, the Bire church provided some clothing and footwear for those in need. The church from Masson placed their emphasis on teaching about prayer. They provided instruction on first aid, and also a small business idea accessible to many. Through these efforts, God worked and 84 people accepted Jesus as Savior! The theme verse of several churches was from Revelation—challenging and reminding them that Christ will return and each one needs to have their name written in the Lamb’s book of life. ~Rachel DeTellis
