At the end of each school year, we celebrate our graduating class as well as the students finishing kindergarten and sixth grade.

These celebrations are truly important, as most families can’t afford birthday parties or festivities for the holidays. The young students enjoy receiving a small gift, a new outfit, a special meal, and the recognition and attention. We congratulate every student and family working together to make these milestones a reality.

Nadege lives with her aunt. She likes cooking so that she can have a big plate of food!

Both Wilner Disilien and Nadege Alexis were sent from other parts of Haiti to live with family in order to go to school. Wilner lives with his grandmother and enjoys going to church and school. His grandmother had a huge smile in her heart seeing him at his kindergarten graduation. Nadege learned her alphabet and how to count from other children, but was unable to attend school until she entered our Masson school in third grade. She just graduated from sixth grade, and says she loves math and would like to learn several languages. We would like to thank our sponsors who help make these celebrations possible. ~Rachel DeTellis
