Happy 39th birthday New Missions—serving in Haiti since January 6, 1983.

Over the years, the people who have helped New Missions serve strong are the missionaries and volunteers.

“We love because He first loved us!” (1 John 4:19) Thank you to this volunteer group from Family Church in Windermere, FL.

At our office in Orlando, when the doorbell rings on volunteer days, we know help has arrived. Our vision is too great to accomplish alone. During our Shoebox Drive, churches from across Central Florida and even churches from out-of-state send their members as volunteers. As they do the physical work of sorting shoebox gifts, counting donated shoes, or packing spoons, a spiritual work begins. Our groups pray that what they are doing will impact the lives of many.

Serve strong! Volunteers from Lifebridge Church packed over 600 shoebox gifts at our Orlando office.

Students from Providence Christian Academy in Starke, Florida, faithfully come to serve at New Missions.

Recently, I received a text message from Dana Matiak with the Matiak Foundation saying, “Loaded up and ready to head your way bright and early tomorrow morning!” Dana and her husband Robbie were driving to Orlando from outside of Atlanta hauling a trailer filled with 2,720 brand new pairs of shoes donated by Okabashi shoes. When they opened the doors of the trailer, my jaw dropped and I began to think…they took the time to find these gifts and delivered them personally. Thank you to each volunteer for your dedication. Your love is seen and heard. Together, we are making a greater difference. Go team New Missions! ~Tim DeTellis
