Being a pastor requires a special calling by God.
Each of our pastors in the DR has very different talents and abilities, and God uses each one of them for His glory. One of our pastors, Nicolas Santos, is passionate about evangelism and has been instrumental in bringing many people to Christ.
Pastor Nicolas has overcome many challenges in his life and thanks the Lord for His faithfulness and steadfast love.
Pastor Nicolas got saved during an evangelistic service led by Pastor George DeTellis on Sosua Beach. After accepting Christ, he started coming to our Bible school and began preaching a few times per month. Although he had fears about becoming a pastor, he knew God was calling him to do this. In a dream, he saw himself working as a pastor in the village of Bombita. He surrendered to the will of God, and has been the pastor there since 2004. When asked how he has seen God working through this pandemic, he responded that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever—and the Lord has continued to provide for their needs as He has always done. Please pray for Pastor Nicolas and the church in Bombita as they meet daily to pray and continue to trust God for His provision and care. ~Heather Williams Katz
