As many children head back to school, 10-year-old Junior Isaac can’t wait!

He loves to learn and is grateful for the opportunity. He found out about New Missions after visiting the school’s facilities and participating last year in the New Missions summer camp. Junior had so much fun at camp, he begged his mom to enroll him at the Colegio Nueva Vida school in the Dominican Republic.

Junior has an incredible story of transformation. He’s had problems at other schools with his behavior and learning, but at New Missions, Junior has not just survived…but thrived. His parents were even surprised with his progress. Because of his emotional and intellectual development, his parents shared that he was unable to enroll in five different educational institutions. But now his life has changed for the better. When the director was asked about Junior’s behavior, she reported he was an excellent student and doing much better with learning.

Students talk about their sponsors all the time. They get excited to receive letters, and love getting a shoebox for Christmas!

Junior has a dream. He heard his classmates talk so much about their sponsors, he ran home and told his mom, “Mommy, my dream is to be sponsored one day!”

In Spanish, nueva vida means “new life.” Junior certainly has a new life now, thanks to New Missions. But he’s still hoping and praying his dream of being sponsored will come true. If you would like to sponsor Junior please call our office at (407) 240-4058. ~Christine Batchelder
