During this challenging season, we want you to know we are staying steadfast in our mission to serve children and families in Haiti through our 35 churches and schools. Our mission is not changed by any virus. We continue to provide thousands of meals every month. We are still supplying medical care and food to our children in Haiti. Our schools are closed due to government restrictions on gatherings. Please know, our team has been meeting every day to pray. Prayer is one of the core values at New Missions and you and your family are in our prayers. We are grateful beyond words for your support and would certainly appreciate your prayers, as well.

We are sending students home with food for their families. Donate to help continue to make this possible as 2,200 of our students are without sponsors.

Here’s some important information we want you to know:

+ Rest assured, we are monitoring every campus and as of today, all of our children are well, safe and unaffected by the coronavirus, COVID-19.

+ There are limited cases of COVID-19 reported in Haiti as of this week and we are praying warmer weather helps the slowdown of a spread.

+ Today, Charlie DeTellis is still in Haiti leading the mission. He is working with a wonderful team of Haitians who live locally to serve at all of our schools and churches.

+ Our mission in Haiti is fully functioning and children are provided food to take home for their families.

+ Today, in the Dominican Republic, Heather and her husband Arismendy are leading our team of Dominicans to love and serve families across the North Coast.

+ Schools in the Dominican Republic are closed until April 30, 2020.

Our focus remains to preach the Gospel during this season. God is still at work and the children in Haiti and the Dominican Republic need our help now more than ever. We see the local church as the greatest force for good. Our hope and our prayer is that through this, God will be glorified and more people will come to have a personal relationship with Jesus. He is our refuge. He is our hope!

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1

Thank you for standing steadfast with us during this time. May God bless you and keep you safe. We love you!

Tim DeTellis
President, New Missions
