This November, it will be 32 years since Pastor George DeTellis purchased land in Bire, Haiti, and established a church and school on the property.

The original church and school were damaged in the 2010 earthquake. This campus now has a new church, a school classroom building that is almost finished, and the New Missions Clinic. There is a well with an electric pump for the clinic, and also a hand pumped well that is open for the entire community to use. Future development will include the construction of a school kitchen, modification of one of the old, damaged buildings for a dining hall, and the completion of a boundary wall to protect the property and create a safe play area for the children.

The new classroom building, which is nearing completion, will serve over 200 students who attend the Bire school.

Hundreds of students have passed through the school and have been blessed with an education they would not have otherwise received. Many lives have been forever changed by the presence and outreach of the church. This Thanksgiving, we are grateful to God for all that He has done, and for all who have worked, prayed, and given to these ministries. ~Rachel DeTellis
