DR Mission Teams

Mission teams coming to the Dominican Republic help boost our local outreach and evangelistic efforts.

Most teams come prepared with Bible lessons to share with our students. We also plan other outreach events to utilize the expertise and skills of people coming on teams. Recently, we hosted medical clinics in many of the different areas where we have ministries. We were able to treat many of our church members, but we also met many people who do not come to our churches and are not yet Christians. We also hosted a baseball clinic and tournament for children between the ages of seven and twelve.

Each day started with a devotional, and we invited all the children and their parents to come to our church nearby. Finally, we hosted a special seminar at our health center for women who were pregnant. In these classes, the women learned about caring for their bodies and babies during their pregnancy. The seminar ended with a big baby shower. The women had many questions, and when the seminar was over they didn’t want to leave! We are thankful for all the people who come with teams to the DR, and for their willingness to use their gifts and talents for the kingdom of God. ~Heather Williams Katz
