My husband Charlie often recounts the story of when the “miracle well” was drilled on our main campus in Bord-Mer.

He tells how the Mennonite well drillers prayed in their truck regarding their drilling that day. God blessed with the discovery of an underground aquifer and an artesian well. Last month, he stood in a circle with the well drillers and the pastor of the Flon church—leading in prayer before they drilled. Many children and community members stood around and watched the whole process. God was faithful and provided a well not only in Flon—but in Chateau and Leogane Guilaume, too!

Our church and school in the town of Leogane, Haiti, has received a well as a testimony of God's provision.

There is no shortage of water on the Leogane Plain. But there isn’t always access to clean water in each village. Many times children wait in long lines to fill containers with water to haul home. Schools without a well also have to transport their water to the site.

We thank all who gave in order to bless these three campuses with a well. Having sufficient clean water is the number one factor in maintaining health. The children and staff at these campuses will have plenty for drinking, washing hands, and cooking. ~Rachel DeTellis
