It’s summertime! In the midst of the sun and fun, most of us don’t quite have the Christmas to-do list on our minds yet.

However, we are busily preparing for the festive season at our New Missions office in Florida. Inventory is being counted, orders are being placed for supplies, and storage logistics are being sorted out. Volunteer groups are making plans to come and help us unbox, sort, pack, and process the boxes.

Students from Hunter Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, add batteries to flashlights.

Though our Shoebox Drive is from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31, it’s a project that requires year-round planning and labor. There are many ways you can be involved. I wonder…how has He blessed you so that you can join us in this work? Can you pack a shoebox? Can you partner with us to bring our Shoebox Drive to your church? Would you consider giving toward our overseas freight costs? Prayerfully ponder how God might use you to provide a gift for a child.

Through your obedience, He can change a life by the power of the Gospel! Each shoebox sent through New Missions includes a tract explaining God’s great love and the plan of salvation. As we help meet a physical need, we also have the opportunity to meet a spiritual need. You can explore all of our Shoebox Drive information at shoeboxdrive.com. ~Emily Pearson
